A couple of months ago I got a call from the ad agency / small film house I used to work for before I started university, a job which I remember with fondness, and my old boss told me he was interested in having me read for a part in a movie they were doing; their first feature length film, details about which I'm not sure I can talk about. Basically I returned to the old office, looking significantly spiffier, and read from a couple pages of a script. They asked me a couple of questions, and then they said they'd call me.
So... they've called me. I'm in the movie.
I'm in a freaking movie.
aaaaaaaaaaa
hhhhhhhhhh
eeeeeeeeee
okay I'm done.
Today I go to meet some of the people involved, and later in the week there's going to be a full script reading. And I read for some of the more comedic roles so there's a high possibility that I'm going to have fun at this thing. More importantly, I'm doing something new, and possibly good, and maybe I'll be proud of it, and maybe it'll be something that I can tell my grandchildren.
It may be a local production. It may be a small time film. It may be every bad cliche associated with those terms, but for now, it's a movie, I'm part of it, and I'm going to dance all the way to the end.
