Cortina

Partial excerpt from 'Cortina'
by Fabio Moon
As Published in 'Flight' Volume 4

If you think about it, it's like a conversation.
You're just waiting your turn to talk.
Or looking for the right words.

That's when someone asks you a question.

Maybe then you'll notice the music.

Maybe you won't remember which music was playing
Or what you were wearing
You'll be left with only one dance...
One moment of passion...
that will last long after the music is over.

Am I sad or did that sound like the most amazingly romantic thing ever?

I agree with you. That is one of the most perfect short stories I have ever read. I only regret that I could not find the last two pages online, although I'm fairly sure that would constitute piracy. Suffice to say that comic alone made me pause long enough to consider buying the RM80 volume it came in.

I wish I had more money, because really, what a story.
