Appreciation

First I would like to say thanks to the people who've gratzed me re: nanowrimo. It's a great feeling...

...tempered by the still somewhat mountainous pile of assignments that have yet to disappear. Tomorrow's the last day but I spent nearly all of today working. I was at an internship position interview this afternoon, hope I get the job. It seems like it'd be a good position, plus I'm kind of bloody desperate at this point.

I find it somewhat ironic that I completed a 50,000 word thingo and I'm running out of juice on paragraph three of a blog post. Oy.

The Thank God It's Over party for NanoWrimo, oops missed two capitals, is on Saturday. Woot! There looks to be booze, and togas. Hopefully togas. If not, at least great conversation and attempting not to embarrass myself.

I wanted to say something here, I remembered when I started writing the bit about the party, but I can't remember it now. Huh.

Oh yes, Razor.

I've linked to Razor before, so I don't think I'll bombard you with it this time, but it's essentially a long episode of Battlestar Galactica. It's got everything the series has always had, great acting, fantastic set pieces, gripping morality (I'm tempted to say 'for a sci-fi' but I won't). Plus, it has chicks!

She is Portugese-Chinese-Norwegian-English, and was raised in Hong Kong. As a result, she's got the cutest accent, but she plays tough as rock Lt. Kendra Shaw, who looks spiffy in a uniform but is as hard as they come.

I think now I know why I watch Galactica. Good-looking chicks who fly spaceships and shoot guns. Forget all that story crap, naked cylons!

Yes, she's quite attractive. Most mixed people are. *envies*
