TV is a medium because it is neither rare nor well done

So I've started my internship at Company X!

Company X is a big ad firm. Company X has won lots of awards. Company X has tons of big clients. (I'm going to go see Car Maker Y today with my supervisor)

Company X also has nice people working in it who were nice to me. They asked me how I thought of my first day, and I told them I was optimistic and hopeful. Then they stared off into space and said 'yeah, I was like that too.' which did nothing for my confidence.

While I was there I sat in on a meeting about the ads for Electronics Company Z and tinkered on some copy for Shopping Mall A. My desk is located at the end of a hall (it has a window!) and for the first time in my life, I have an extension number.

Today I hope to receive my laptop and be able to blog er I mean work online. So far it has been fairly easy on the amount of things I've had to do but I get the feeling that's going to change before long. Some of the Nice People lent me some advertising books which I am slowly devouring.

Right, it's 7:30. Off to work I go.

'Research shows the customer likes X, Y, and Z. But showing them X Y and Z isn't advertising, it's journalism.'

Ooooh ooh, what are the requirements to get into company X? I thought of doing my internship at an ad firm as well but I don't know how exactly to apply anyway, and what they need.
