That anecdote is from Neil Gaiman. I do not, however, have the pleasure of being able to employ the one used by Douglas Adams (and so shamelessly stolen by Johnny Depp), that is to enjoy the whooshing sound they make as they pass by.
This is because I am not, by any stretch of the human imagination, Douglas Adams. I do however, find myself firmly in the grounds of human reality, and Things that have to be Done, or Else.
